There’s nothing like ski racing in college: the competition, the camaraderie and the carnivals that knit together schools from state to state. In the Northeast, the EISA (Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association) circuit sees racers spending their January and February weekends gathering at historic hills — Stowe, the Dartmouth Skiway, and Middlebury Snow Bowl to name a few — for qualifying races leading up to the NCAA Skiing Championships. When athletes and coaches spend that much time together, they create a unique bond while building on the rich history of East Coast racing.
